Taoyuan Multi-Facility Inventory Synchronization Overhaul
The Technical Challenge
A network of three regional warehouses and two manufacturing assembly lines in Northern Taiwan experienced severe inventory drift. Nightly CSV batch jobs regularly failed to reconcile serial number tracking, causing stock double-allocations during peak dispatch hours.
Architectural Approach
We conducted a forensic schema audit across their SQL Server database instances. Our team designed an optimistic concurrency ledger protocol and built an asynchronous event-driven synchronization bridge with localized offline caching for factory floor handheld scanners.
Measured Results & Impact
Inventory discrepancy rates between physical bin counts and ERP records dropped from 8.4% to below 0.2%. Batch synchronization latency reduced from 90 minutes to under 3 seconds per pallet scan.
Deliverables Delivered
Schema redesign blueprints, event queue broker architecture, and operator tablet interface specifications.
